About Us

OUR MISSION

The Bush Global Village Foundation is dedicated to bridging the opportunity gap through education in famished, remote communities worldwide. The focus is currently in the African Bush where impoverished villages exist with little means for securing opportunities for a sustainable future.

Recently funded projects include:  Providing water to the Mokilal community and to Mokilal Pre-Primary School, Providing a daily meal for students of the Mokilal Pre-Peimary School, Providing Uniforms and a Food Stipend to Mokilal Primary students, and Updating the deteriorating “cow dung” structure of the Mokilal Pre-Primary School to a metal structure.  We are encourage sustainability, sense of place, and cultural pride through field trips of taking our young students on safari into the Ngorongoro Crater.

OUR STORY

Mokili Olesokoi pictured with Beth and Sean Bush first met whilst exploring Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa – March 2015.  Beth and Sean had studied basic Swahili and this simple act started a conversation about the language challenges faced by school children in Tanzania.   In order to unify Tanzania given all of the 120 plus mother tongues spoken, it is a mandate to teach school in the official Swahili language… and some English as that is the language of trade.

Maasai children speak the mother tongue of Maa and need to learn basic language skills to equip themselves for entering the school system.   Mokili had been working to help this process and now he had the backing of the Bush’s to take this idea and grow it into a vision  that is now being made possible.
