STUDENT NOURISHMENT FUND DRIVE
Help fight Malnutrition and Starvation
Our students live in a poverty stricken village that is located in a remote area which depends on livestock to provide nutrients. We are now providing a meal at school each day which is a porridge made of corn, sugar, and butter.
ONGOING PRE-PRIMARY SCHOOL OPERATIONS
GENERAL FUND – project Ongoing $240 / month
Ongoing operations for the Pre-primary school include teachers salaries and supplies. Plus various registration and maintenance projects that keep the school grounds safe.
ONGOING SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN IN ADVANCED SCHOOLS
Children need Uniforms and a Food Stipend to attend Primary/elementary school
Graduation from the Pre-Primary school and going onto the traditional Tanzanian Govt supported schools at the Primary level require support. Bush Global Village Foundation provides Uniforms and Food Stipend as required – tuition is free.
WATER STATIONS
$1,650 Raised, Phase I and Phase II Complete!
With no in-home plumbing, villagers need to bring water into the home from a water station. Bush Global Village Foundation has provided Phase I extension of water lines to a Pressure chamber allowing for TWO water stations: ONE at the Pre-Primary School and ONE as a Common Village Location. Phase II (2020) was to fix and repair all of the pre-existing water lines to increase water pressure. This would improve water availabililty. Phase III is the hope of connecting a huge water tank to the stations for continued water availability even through the dry season.

Outdoor Toilet for Mokilal Pre-primary and Community Center
$2,640 Raised, Project Complete!
Sanitation is a need at a school and community center. Early on it was determined that providing a stand alone toilet facility was a key priority.
SAFARI for 40 Students & 10 Adults
NGORONGORO CRATER, TANZANIA
A very first to witness wild animals in a peaceful habitat rather than years of human/animal conflict. The children live not 3 miles away from a game park and had never experienced what tourists travel thousands of miles to witness. This encompasses our vision – giving the children awareness and pride of their awesome environment so that they will conserve and protect it.
School Benches
$850 Raised, Project Complete!
Bush Global Village Foundation provided benches for the pre-primary school. Many of the children had never sat on a chair or bench prior to receiving this generous gift. They are used to sitting on the ground at home.

BUILDING BLOCKS:
Infrastructure
We are working to identify and eliminate barriers to a healthy learning environment. Proper sanitation, clean water, and simple things like benches, chalk boards, and cupboards were the first areas to address. Currently we are working to build a kitchen so that we can provide food.
Health & Wellness
Providing an initial first-aid kit for the school generated quite an event as the elders were astonished by the packets of modern medicine. Unbeknownst to us, they had to have instructions on the use. One community official donated an abandoned Land Cruiser [now in running order] to the school in order to transport sick and injured individuals to medical facilities in Karatu – the closest town about 15 miles down the mountain.
Community
The grass-roots approach of having a local community liason – Mokili Olesokoi – has been key to the success of our program. Mokili has worked very hard to honor the intentions of the elders in the community. Volunteers from the local community showed up to work during the classroom insulation, water station digging, and kitchen building.
Culture
Maasai people are very rich in culture and tradition. Currently we are offering an education to the children who will one day make decision of their own as to disregarding some cultural customs. Other traditions that fall into our core values such as dancing, jewelery making, and documenting the old ways of natural medicines while taking advantage of modern medicine are projects we support.
